About

My name is John Vacovec, the founder of SkiGripz. Over the many years of visiting different ski resorts, watching kids and adults alike walking in their ski boots, carrying 2 skis, 2 poles, up and down stairs, inclines, on snow and ice and doing it with ease and grace is understandably a challenge. I knew there had to be a better way.

When my kids were young, I was the one carrying all the equipment from the parking lot to the mountain and back again. That’s when it hit me, there has to be a good, practical solution for people to carry their skis and poles. My engineering mind kicked in. It had to be something that stayed on the ski, was easy to install, easy to use, affordable and convenient. So SkiGripz was born.
